This post has been in my draft so long I wasn’t sure if it would see daylight 😂. I’ve been writing this ever since I came back from my friend’s son aqiqah; when she posted a heart felt message just because I asked her how she was. I’ve been working on this ever since, I’ll add things here and there and leave it again. I guess it’s because it’s so personal I wasn’t ready myself to share it. But here it is.
Apparently April is Caesarean awareness month. I’ve been wanting to write something about it but days passed on and the last thing I know it’s literally 15 minutes before May 😂 But here it is.
Clearrrly, there’s a stigma behind caesarean for there to be an awareness month. I’ve had 2 caesareans, both my births ended in one. I shouldn’t feel anything about it. But everytime I do say I’ve had a caesarean, its usually followed by the reason behind it.
I would constantly feel the need to explain why I had a caesarean.
“Oh she was breeched so I had no choice”.
“Oh he pooped, so it was an emerg
Is hiking with toddlers even possible?
You were probably in the car when you passed by a hill and thought to yourself, “When was the last time I went hiking?”
You have an instant flashback of the younger version of you, conquering the peaks, and suddenly a loud shrieking noise comes from the back going “Mummy! Mummy! Mummy!” in all different intonations.
You’re brought back to reality and you think, “How do you even go hiking with toddlers?”
You’re already dreading the idea and think it’s not...
